these guy are awesome, and they don’t look like they had much for by-catch. I think they use nets now.

  3. ShaneAndShellyShow says:

I really hope they go back to this kind of fishing is it means they will stop using nets. I fear that one day there won’t be Any fish for my grandkids

  5. kickthatclutch1 says:

haha i love how some of them are wearing helmets, getting hit in the head by a flying tuna becomes an occupational hazard lol

No wonder the oceans are stuffed

  7. 504jw says:

Think how bad there shoulders hurt. No workman comp in those days.
I do offshore charters for tuna and these guys got me beat.

  8. GunsAreForSelfDefens says:

Anyone else notice that most of the “animal friendly” people fighting fishing seem to choose criticizing the lone person fishing for one fish at a time using rod, reel, and skill over the trolling ships using nets to harvest tons and tons of fish at a time? I don’t think any kind of fishing should be disallowed, but mass fishing should be slightly limited. Teach some men to fish, and you feed them for a lifetime.

    @FishingKing754
Try to work on a rolling boat with water higher then your knee and you’ll tell me how confortable you’d feel with a shark swimming around ……
switch yr brain on before any comment about things you don’t know

  13. HISandman says:

Back then the fish had more of a chance to get away.. these days huge nets are used to fish for tuna that goes in the can… no chance to get away.

Damn good, my old man used to do this, took me on my first trip on the Kitty Hawk owned by Mr. vattuone, was a bait boat converted into a seiner, those bait guys had alot of balls.

  21. FishingKing754 says:

The fuck man why shoot a shark it’s just trying to get its dinner which those SEMEN are taking from it.

  22. kingsblendstrain says:

    free gym

  23. pablowall says:

fishing for anything should be done by spearfishing, rod fishing and cast netting, not this long line and gillnet bs that is driving fish stocks close to extinction

  24. RomoPonyBoy says:

wish I could do this nowadays…

  25. krasteee says:

This video is quite old, now the seas are not that good…the population of tuna has decreased in a really high percentage in the last 20 years…must watch the documentary The end of the line…

  27. floridafishingo says:

@addassas you wrap the mono on the hook and pull it the opposite way as the main line

  28. finnishminnow says:

According to this blooper of Bill’s… yesterday when I got the hook out of the Rock Bass’s mouth, all of a sudden (DOINK) it got caught in my finger by accident. But at least my finger wasn’t bleeding real bad (even though it was only bleeding a little bit).

And yet therefore (according to Bill), I laughed and laughed right after that happened.

  29. addassas says:

btw how does that monofilament trick work?

  30. addassas says:

that happened to me too, it rly rly sucks lol, i am now a proud owner of pliers and boga :D

  31. asianRSXdriver91 says:

@JacksInn im wonderin the samething haahahha!

  32. finnishminnow says:

    Sorry, I meant…

Wasn’t Bill’s hand bleeding after he got the lure caught in his hand and right after he tried to get the fish out of the water, even though the part with him bleeding in the process of trying to get the hook out of his hand must’ve been eliminated? Or was Bill’s hand seen bleeding on another blooper in the process of getting the lure hooked in his hand and by attempting to get the hook out of his hand because I remember seeing it on one of the bloopers like that?

  33. finnishminnow says:

    Naughty Fish.

  34. ultimatefighterispro says:

haha “the old monofilament trick” what would you do without monofilament….its just as usefull as duct tape

  35. Rjc033 says:

shoulda let the fish tire itself out abit more lol

  39. mrlovesjesus811 says:

@teagan684………..OKAY I understand you what you saying now, yes we do use landing nets to land bass and other large fish but in some tournaments its allowed but in pro tournaments it not allowed, you must use your hand

  40. teagan684 says:

Sorry there’s been a misunderstanding, I’m talking about a landing net, not a bait net.
When you get the fish close to the boat you guide it into the net so it can be lifted safely and easily into the boat.
I’m a Australian Bass Tournament angler here in Australia and landing nets are compulsory.

  41. mrlovesjesus811 says:

@teagan684 over here in the USA, it is illegal to use a net on sports fish like bass or other fish. Those fish you just named and their weight, here we use bigger reel and rods with heavier line. We use nets to catch bait fish and that is all.

  42. teagan684 says:

I guess Australian Bass have a much smaller mouth, mostly we pole the smaller ones or net the bigger ones.
Barramundi are far to big to lip, you’d break their backs. Average Barra are now over 20 lbs or 10 kgs.
Do the top pros use a net ?

  43. mrlovesjesus811 says:

@teagan684 using a net takes all the fun out of fishing, a good ol’ rod and reel makes it so much fun

  44. teagan684 says:

Ouch, why do Americans do this, use a net.
    Bill is legendary funny.

  45. JacksInn says:

How does stuff like this keep happening to him.

    I can’t stop laughing.

  46. Steproni says:
