    John Lurie is a genius. This show is amazing. I never grow tired of watching these episodes and when you watch them with the commentary they get even better. (which is seldom the case) Lurie is remarkable. Both Dafoe and Lurie are adorable here.

  5. Ozlanthos says:

    Huh, learn something new every day. I was under the impression he had film of some mega-huge Hollywood producer doing something highly questionable (if not outright ILLEGAL) with a minor or something. None the less, I have found his show to be odd, but enjoyable..

    What I want to know is how “John” was able to get people like Willem Defoe to fish with him!

  23. MrJuliusBermejo says:

    @MrJuliusBermejo thanks for the tips!!

  24. thundermistlures says:

    @MrJuliusBermejo Here in North America, we use many different baits.We have found that worms don’t work well for big catfish. We generally use: cut-fish pieces, whole small fish,liver,raw shrimp, clams, roe bags, dough balls, even pieces of hot dogs. These baits have been proven to catch catfish. Again, you should stay away from using worms. Thanks for your inquiry and good luck!

  25. MrJuliusBermejo says:

    hi!! i like your videos on how to catch a catfish. What are the other kind of bait can i use to catch a catfish? i caught one before its about 15inch by only using a worm as a bait and it never happend again. Im from Philippines

  26. thundermistlures says:

    @lastgameralive It was sucker cut-bait. Thanks.

  27. lastgameralive says:

    what cut bait are you useing

  28. thundermistlures says:

    @Tyfire101 That was a brilliant observation! We never noticed that before, but it looks like there is a fish swimming by.

    Thanks for pointing that out – this video has been viewed over 300,000 times and you are the first person to notice that :)

  29. Tyfire101 says:

    you can see a small fish in the water in the lower left hand corner at 5:33

    @DJRocks20
    look u dumb ass have u ever herd of a liter line?? ur retarded and u dont know how to fish it is rediculis but its not fake

  31. DJRocks20 says:

    @dongerdid god seriously, your so full of shit, and worst of all your boasting about something that is impossibel to do, sharks would easily tear through 15 pound line with there teeth, and yea so what if there using tough line? your acting like it make just cause you do things your own way, but seriously that is just unbeleiveably rediculous

  32. dongerdid says:

    @thundermistlures
    u need to try it cuz its more fun with lower pund test u get to reely fight them and let them get tired i live in va and here we catch 200 pound sharks on 15 pund test and its the gratest feeling

  33. SuperLakemonster says:

    hey ty for the tips please check out our video “fishing at wagon wheel” Its the second one down you will like it=) love the video

  34. thundermistlures says:

    @iseesyouthere Thanks & good fishing to you!

  35. thundermistlures says:

    @dongerdid Good job with the 10 lb test & those big fish! Thanks for sharing!

  36. dongerdid says:

    reely?
    30 pound test? ur som pussys man foreel wen i go for 40 pounders i knly use 10

  37. iseesyouthere says:

    love your vids ty very much

  38. thundermistlures says:

    @dookiekong007 We have never caught 2 big catfish at the same time. Having 2 baits adds more scent to increase the chance of a bite. Good fishing!

  39. dookiekong007 says:

    I’ve been curious, if you would use 2 fresh baits like what you used there in the vid, would there be a greater chance of catching ONE or BOTH on both hooks because I got a pole sort of like yours and if 2 huge ones got hooked the same time, it wouldn’t be a good thing. So what I am trying to say is, is catching both big fish at the same time a slim chance? because obviously I wouldn’t want that when they’re both big. so has that ever happened to you before?

  40. thundermistlures says:

    @brattyo6123 Good luck!

  41. brattyo6123 says:

    I’m going to try this this weekend and hopefully I’ll catch me some

  42. thundermistlures says:

    @brattyo6123 Sometimes corn will work, but worms are the best. Keep worms in a styrofoam container and in a cooler with ice. Good luck!

  43. brattyo6123 says:

    Also is there any other baits suckers like because alot of worms are dying in store from the heat

  44. thundermistlures says:

    @brattyo6123 Glad you have some suckers to use as bait – the shallow water will not effect the rig – it will still work for you – hopefully, you’ll get into some nice fish!

  45. brattyo6123 says:

    Ok I’ll try that these suckers I found are in a creek it’s not deep but will the rig still work

  46. thundermistlures says:

    @Cyberlezgirl They should be safe to eat as long as there is no dumping of waste into the pond. Thanks.

  47. ladigue_99 says:

    wow, lucky capture!
