Ed Schliffke catches sea bass like it’s going out of fashion. He used to catch bass and sell them to Rick Stein but now he’s 100% catch and release. Ed is one of fishing’s big characters. Watch and enjoy.
Video Rating: 4 / 5
I think the shark died?
you ‘ve got titanium balls mate. I wouldn’t like to be in your place , what you’ve done was really risky, the shark could easily pull you into the sea. thank the gods beasts have no intelligence just instinct. Lucky you next time go fishing with a bigger boat.
awsome video-do you ever think about a large shark like a great white hitting your kyak from beneath or tipping you over-you have brass ones bud-
thanks for sharing

Awesome video
Balls of steel go ozzy
@Sivet17 yes the shark pulled me around for just over 2 hours.
was the shark pulling you around casue it looks like you had some speed going on there!
@somey3640 It’s a Hobie revolution. I still have it but now use a prowler ultra 4.7. both very good kayaks
Top video. Looked like a Hobie Revolution kayak.
To all saying he should have removed the hook – Cutting the line is the safest way of releasing a shark. Best for both the angler and shark. The hook dissolves in only few days being in salt water.
What type of kayak do you use because you obviously got it going on, awesome video…..inspiring
the best video ever.
your foot hanging over the edge all the time made me nervous lol
@leafsfan234
i cant tell if your kidding..
is that a great white or bronze whaler cause im from south aussie went fishing at point lowly for snapper when a massive shark started bumping boat
How do you communicate with land for the pickup?
he paddds it on the headdddhahaahahha
@MsTimotay Do you realize how north your country is? There aren’t going to be sharks a mile out from shore. However, there might be sharks 500 miles south.
hey mate, what set up where ya using there? looks like a lever drag but what make/size is the reel? breaking strain is the line? ps nice vid mate, good catch
Yeah thats pretty hardcore dude
jjust for the head up you should have removed the hook
This makes the guy from deadliest catch look like a pussy
wooohooo he didnt like that ahahah legend mad fella.
Hahaha another ballsy Australian makes me proud to be one!
Dude get your feet inside the boat lol
I kept hoping it would get the foot….I wonder if it did actually live? It looked pretty stuffed!
@spewmanity Some days they want it fast, some days they want it slow, use both methods on the day.
Every book I’ve read tells you to vary the retrieve and reel slowly for bass. Ed seems to quickly reel in at a constant speed – so can anybody tell me (as a newbie) what’s the best method?
quality fishing, quality fisherman,
Bloody Git, wish I could do that,,,,
Fantastic though, thank you,,,,,
good bass tips with the white water
@MrBullhounds Tosser
@MrBullhounds listening to too much death metal i gather
did he die after this?
is it really CP-s rockhopper? the owner of the penguin named rockhopper?*
think maybe a stop at the barbers on the way home
This guy used (poss still does?) write for Sea Angler magazine, he certainly knows his stuff & seems to enjoy his bass fishing…….don’t we all though?
I need to go fishing with you, your cool.

@GEOPAIH1234 cheers for that very helpful
@modernwarfare2bc North Coast, but I’m not telling you where exactly as its not known to many, and is one of the best spots for bass

@joebayron Great contribution knob
nooooo! you are crazy!! i hate no kill
albert einstin!!
Ive met him fishing the north coast of cornwall and he is a real gentleman.He normally uses the rapala J 13 jointed plug for his spinning
@aggoflex looks like a lure plug
Get a haircut!!
a 10llb bass is sixteen years old. Slowest growing fish in teh UK waters, once they get to about 4llb they mate for life …so …putting them back is a good idea especially the bigger ones they are the spawning fish.
lol..which bait hahaha
